Stop buying ebooks on how to buy a Wii at retail

Why buy an ebook on how to do something that’s obvious, or almost obvious, there are no “secrets” to buying a Wii at the store. It’s just a matter of timing, and your willingness to do one thing..

….stand in line long enough to get a Wii, that’s all it takes. Toys R Us (where I got mine) gets a new shipment every other Sunday around here. How do I know, here’s the “secret”, I asked. The dude was more than happy to tell me when the Wii’s showed up and what time to get in line to get one.

That’s the thing, if you want a Wii more than the person in front of you, you have to get in line that much earlier. With the holidays coming around, you’ll need to get in line much earlier now. You might want to bring some coffee or something, and plan on getting in line about 6 to 8 hours before the store even opens. About a month ago people had already started getting in line by 9pm the day before. That’s how bad it’s getting.

By the way, don’t bother with Gamestop’s those corrupt fools hold them for friends or sell them for a hefty profit (at least the one I was in) to others they know. How do I know this, hang out long enough and get a Wii conversation started, and they start spilling the beans.

I also hear that Bestbuy gets Wii’s every Sunday but are limited to about 10 or so, plus they hand out tickets and get in line like at TrU. I didn’t get mine from there, so I don’t know for sure. Your honest to goodness bet is to talk to people at Toys R Us and find out when they arrive, they are the only place in town that gets more than a handfull, something along the lines of about 200 or so.

2 more tips: Ever been to Kmart and wonder where their Wii’s are at? Well they literally get a few at a time and they NEVER know when they get them. You have to ask the electronics cashier to call back to one of the offices in the back to see if they have any. I only know this because I know someone who works there.

Last tip, Ebay. As you can see there are plenty of Nintendo Wii’s to go around, but you will pay a pretty penny for it, and for good reason. The Wii is fun as hell to play!

Good luck
