Eve Online is a huge space based MMORPG. In Eve-Online you will be the pilot of many spacecraft. Eve-online isn’t your standard MMORPG, you don’t exactly control a character per say, but more like a persona. The game controls are like nothing else you may be used to. It’s like a cross between an arcade game, MMORPG, and a flight simulator.

The travel system is nice and fast, none of this take 15-20 minutes to get from place to another. You can set your ship to auto pilot, or gate jump one right after the other.

Skills in this game aren’t like other MMORPG’s either. They are in real time. So you will need to put in a good bit of time to get into the higher levels. Good news is, you don’t actually have to be in game the entire time to gain those skills. It’s as simple as picking a skill, letting the system train it, and when it’s done, EVE will let you know.

Eve Online is very community oriented. From the zones that players control, down to the markets, everything is owned by the players. There is something for everyone. You can sit in a frigate all day long mining, or you can be a hauler and transport goods for players, from one space system to another. As with most other MMORPG’s this game is open ended, and for the most part, it is not instance based.

I am still running an account even after about a year playing. I’ll stop in from time to time to get those higher end skills trained, or go “ratting”.
