We’ve finally come to this point now where my little girl needs to learn how to pee in the potty. After seeing some other family members struggle through this, I only assumed I would have this much trouble.
The daycare has pretty much started potty training, so that means, we need to stay on top as well. Come to think of it, it’s not that bad potty training. Then again, we are not running around putting her on the potty every 2 hours like the daycare is.

I also believe this helps out more if there is a lot of positive reinforcement. If she’s excited about going to the potty, she will want to do it more. And it’s working. Also, it isn’t hurting that we let her watch some Elmo’s World. I gotta say, Elmo has been a big help.
Elmo has been there for the teeth brushing and the hand washing phase. Although it’s tough to explain to a two year old that you don’t suck the tooth paste of the brush, and that you need to brush up and down and what-not.
Why I know it’s working, well just this morning I got a call from from home saying my girl pee pee’d on the potty. Turns out, I’m thinking she waited until she got up to go potty, as her diaper was bone dry. The first thing she said when she got up was, “pee pee potty”. Let’s just hope this keeps up. Diapers are pretty damn expensive, next to formula (glad I’m out of that phase).
Now I just hope Elmo can come out with a birds and the bees DVD, then my life would be complete. Just kidding, I’ll let me wife take care of that part. Just kidding again, she learn it from all her friends in school.
